Dr. Zaslav understands that injured athletes, both professional and amateur, are very anxious to resume their activities. Dr. Zaslav is very knowledgeable in sports injuries, having dedicated his entire education to one specific area: sports medicine. Dr. Zaslav earned his B.S. in Biology at the State University of New York at Binghamton. He attended Medical School at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, N.Y. and went on to earn fellowships in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at New York University / Bellevue Medical Center, and Lenox Hill Hospital. He earned his residency in orthopedic surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Dr. Zaslav is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, The American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine and the International Cartilage Repair Society. He is currently the company physician for The Richmond Ballet, and serves on the Boards of Directors of The Ballet and The Richmond Metropolitan Sportsbackers Association.
